At memb., we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and personal information from our platform.

Your Data Rights

Under various data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and others), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Restrict processing of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Self-Service Deletion

You can delete your account directly from your account settings:

  1. Log in to your memb. account
  2. Go to SettingsAccount
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision by entering your password
  5. Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:

  1. Send an email to info@memb.app
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

I request the deletion of my account and all associated personal data from memb.

Username (if applicable): [your username]

I understand that this action is irreversible.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:

  • Your profile information (name, username, bio, avatar)
  • Your storefront and all associated products
  • Your collections and categories
  • Your social media connections
  • Your messages and conversations
  • Your analytics data
  • Your saved preferences and settings

Data That May Be Retained

In some cases, we may retain certain information for legitimate purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
  • Financial Records: Transaction records for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years)
  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics
  • Backup Retention: Data in backups may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten

Processing Timeline

  • ImmediateYour account becomes inaccessible
  • 24-48 hoursYour public storefront is removed from search and discovery
  • Within 30 daysAll personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems
  • Within 90 daysData is removed from backup systems

Facebook/Instagram Data Deletion

If you connected your Instagram account to memb. and wish to delete data we received from Facebook/Meta:

  1. First, disconnect Instagram from your memb. account in Settings
  2. Delete your memb. account using the methods above
  3. Revoke memb.'s access in your Facebook Apps and Websites settings

Note: We do not store Facebook/Instagram passwords. We only receive authorized data through official APIs.

Deletion Confirmation

Once your data deletion request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address associated with your account. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, please contact us at info@memb.app.
